Fall 2010 Roadside Cleanup

I have reserved a cleanup kit and the Fall 2010 Hollywood Hill Cleanup will be on Saturday, October 2. Meet at the usual place, the Hollywood Hill Elementary School parking lot exit. I will be there with bags and safety equipment from 9:00 am to noon. (9/1/2010)

Bobcat Sighting

Several Hill residents have reported sightings of a bobcat. If you are concerned that this animal is in danger you can contact the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife regional office at 425.775.1311. (8/31/2010)

Knotweed Information

Knotweed is a very invasive plant that is increasingly common on Hollywood Hill. Jan Hunt of the Hollywood Hill association is spearheading a campaign to control this weed. Please see the Summer Newsletter for more information. (8/2010)

Gas Pipeline Proposed for
Tolt Pipeline Right-of-Way

We have recently learned that Puget Sound Energy has purchased a 5 mile long easement from the City of Seattle along the south side of the Tolt Pipeline for the purpose of installing a pressurized natural gas pipeline.

We are just beginning to assess the situation and will be putting out more information as it becomes available to us. In the meantime, you can view the easement agreement, which includes maps, at the "Issues" link our website homepage. (8/2010)
